What's Happening on Long Island Sound

Coastal Boating Net
A veritable treasure chest of "places to go and things to know" - running the gamut from equipment reviews to boating resources, cruising, racing, destinations and worthwhile stuff such as 'Paws ahoy'.  A must read.

Windcheck Magazine
A convenient and comprehensive source of local boating "what's happening."  But it's easier and more complete to read their free magazine - which you can pick up practically anywhere close to water or a boat.

Mystic Seaport
has to be at the top of this list.  I urge you to join it -- for a variety of reasons:  it's a living heritage of our sea and the only living museum of its kind, and it's in our backyard; it's worth it financially to be a member; you get docking privileges if you arrive by boat; and their quarterly publication, Wind Rose, (included in membership) is coffee table quality.

Mystic Seaport  2007 summer events:  I’d especially recommend the Lobster Days May 26-28 and the Sea Music Festival June 8-10

Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival  Sept. 7, 8, 9
